Manpower is looking for Material Handler for exciting opportunity at $18.00 per hour. These roles will commence immediately.

What is the job?

* Serve customers, while greeting patrons, check out items for customers and promote products and services.
* Sort recyclable scrap metals also materials including materials such as metals, glass, wood, paper, or plastics, into appropriate containers for recycling.
* Load materials into production equipment including cleaning recycling yard by sweeping, raking, picking up broken glass and loose paper debris, or moving barrels and bins.
* Operate forklifts (if necessary), pallet jacks, power lifts, or front-end loaders to load bales, bundles, or other heavy items onto trucks for shipping to smelters or other recycled materials processing facilities.
* Sort metals to separate high-grade metals, such as copper, brass, and aluminum, for recycling.
* Sort materials or products for processing, storing, shipping, or grading.
* Operate processing equipment, such as fiber-sorters and grinders, to sort, crush, or grind recyclable materials.
* Deposit recoverable materials into chutes or place materials on conveyor belts.
* Clean materials, such as metals, according to recycling requirements.
* Record logs of recycled materials or parts that is removed from products, while disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair.
* Clean, inspect, or lubricate recyclable collection equipment or perform routine maintenance or minor repairs on recycling equipment, such as star gears, finger sorters, destoners, belts, and grinders.
* Keep work area clean and observe while following all safety rules and regulation.
* Other duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the job?

* High school diploma or equivalent
* 1-3 years' previous work experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar scrapyard/auto part environment will be considered an asset
* Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift to a maximum of 50lbs to 70lbs pounds.
* Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending, moderate to heavy lifting and pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds throughout the day
* Willing and able to work in variable weather conditions including hot, dry summer conditions and cold, harsh winter conditions
* Ability to work with minimal supervision or general oversight
* Able to have their own transportation or vehicle is a asset.
* Basic proficiency in relevant computer applications
* Able to pass a background check is a must.
* Will starts immediately.
