We are currently looking for a Training Team Leader - Toronto.

Reporting directly to the Training Manager, The Training Team Leader will actively participate in various training initiatives such as participating in Screening Officer Foundations Program (SOF), conducting On the Job Training (OJT), and assisting with delivery of training to screening officers requiring re-certifications and other GARDA training program.
A Training Team Leader is responsible for delivering training to screening officers following the parameters prescribed by CATSA. This position also includes: coaching, mentoring and assisting in recertification or infiltration testing, providing support in delivering GARDA Internal training.


Order, track and distribute uniform items to new and existing screening personnel
Perform uniform fitting for new and existing screening personnel
Manage individual accounts for all screening personnel (Logistik Unicorp) and point allocation system
Create and maintain active and inactive uniform files as per internal and client guidelines
Collaborate with Human Resource, Recruitment and Training teams to ensure timely distribution of uniform items to all screening personnel
Serve as a primary point of contact for all uniform related inquiries
Maintain timely and open communication with all team members, screening personnel and uniform suppliers
Identify opportunities for improvement and provide follow-up, positive and constructive feedback
Handle and assist with uniform returns and exchanges
Manage destruction of controlled items
Conduct site and floor inspections to ensure uniform wear complies with SOP, internal and client guidelines
Develop and maintain an electronic database for tracking and maintenance of inactive files of screening personnel
Assist with internal and client-based audits when required
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve the overall uniform department by streamlining work processes, and working cooperatively to provide superior quality customer service
Observe and correct violations to uniform wear guidelines and overall professional appearance
Other duties as assigned


Post secondary certification or related discipline
Minimum two (2) years of experience in customer service
Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
Ability to work in a 24/7 fast paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook)
Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Experience and knowledge of aviation industry is an asset
Bilingual in English and French is an asset
