Job Overview
The Production Area Lead is responsible for the day-to-day plant production operations for an assigned area. This includes, but is not limited to, organizing and assigning work to shop floor personnel, instructing, guiding, and assisting employees in the attainment of production and quality goals/standards, developing and mentoring team members, and driving safety performance results that meet and/or exceed company goal and targets.

* $20.10/hr to start with a progressive increase every 6 months!

Shifts Available:
* Morning Shift: 6:45am - 3:00pm (Monday to Friday)

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with attendance management for the floor staff and ensure that all employees are provided with the proper tools and resources to execute their job tasks
* Ensure the safety of the workers by reporting all incidents, accidents and/or hazards.
* Communicating issues, and/or problems for the assigned area relating to the production schedule, equipment breakdown and/or any other issues that would affect the subsequent shift

Recipes for Success:
* Minimum 2 years experience working in a front-line leadership role in a production-manufacturing operation (Food industry preferred)
* Demonstrated leadership and problem solving skills
* Experience with scheduling systems and equipment
* Computer competency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
* Strong skills to work both independently and in a team
* Strong written and verbal communication
* Knowledge of HACCP/GMP requirements and applicable Health & Safety processes and procedures knowledge
