Reporting to the Regional Account Manager, the Talent Acquisition Advisor is a central partner in the Ottawa Office. Working along with the operations team, the TAA is responsible for the total recruitment cycle for the Ottawa region.

What does a Talent Acquisition Advisor in Ottawa do?

Actively participate in discussions related to open roles and gain a clear understanding of specific requirements
Update the Open Requisition Report in real-time ensuring that positions are added or removed as they are opened or filled
Build applicant pipeline using a variety of channels including posting to job boards, head hunting, community colleges, employment agencies, job fairs, social media, online databases, and any other relevant sources
Review incoming applications for suitable qualifications, experience, and valid licensing
Determine applicant eligibility by conducting an initial phone screen to ensure candidate meets the minimum job requirements
Schedule and conduct face to face interviews to determine job fit, communication skills and schedule availability
Participate in Meet and Greet session on client sites
Ensure that all new hires complete online onboarding and confirming all documents are complete and signed
Partner with the Scheduling department to identify a suitable work schedule for the new hires
Onboarding of new guards
Collaborate with the OPS teams on a day to day basis

Qualifications to become a Talent Acquisition Advisor in Ottawa?

Be passionate about recruitment
Experience in recruitment, an asset
Experience in the security business, an asset
Able to manage priorities independently
Knowledge of new recruitment methods, able to conduct relevant candidate searches
Driver's license and ability to travel in Ontario
Knowledge of the French language, an asset
