Manpower Staffing is currently recruiting a contract Assembler for our client located in NE Calgary.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm

Pay rate: $20.00-$23.00/hr.

Length of Assignment: Ongoing

The role entails:
*Assemble electronic and mechanical products according to supplied documentation and ensure workmanship quality standards are achieved.
*Perform testing of components and products to test instructions.
*Perform mechanical inspection of parts and assemblies.
*Use epoxy to pot sensors into mechanical assemblies.
*Review production documentation.
*Participate as a member of the Production team. Identify areas for improvement and assist with these improvement opportunities.
*Other secondary duty tasks, such as Shipping/Receiving and Crating/Packaging, may be assigned as required.
*Comply with ESD, 5S, EH&S and Ergonomic principles and procedures.

The ideal Candidate:
*Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
*Experience working in an electronics or mechanical assembly environment.
*Working knowledge of electrical/mechanical inspection and assembly devices such as Calipers, Micrometers, DVM's, LCR meter's etc.
*Good soldering skills and understanding of soldering techniques
*Ability to read and follow 2 dimensional assembly drawings and written instructions.
*Good hands on assembly skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
*Documentation skills using MS Word and MS Excel or equivalent.
*Ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines as well as experience working in a team environment.
*Ability to work extra hours or weekends to meet schedules if necessary.
